Weleda Skin Food

skinfoodThe end of Village Green Apothecary’s Earth Day sale on personal care products is fast approaching – tomorrow to be exact. So if you haven’t taken advantage of the 25% off regular price, you still have time to do it now!

A personal favorite is Weleda Skin Food. This cream enjoys a cult following. It is written up as a constant favorite beauty product for one simple reason – it works. It is a rich, intensely hydrating cream that cares for the skin. It is made with pure lanolin and organic pansy, which nourishes and soothes dry and damaged skin. A precious essential oil blend of lavender, rosemary and sweet orange oil refresh the skin and the senses. Apply this whole body cream to your skin anytime, with special attention to extra dry areas such as hands, feet and elbows. I have very dry skin, and I even apply it to my face.

And although what makes Skin Food popular is that it really works, it is also a clean product. All of Weleda’s natural skin care and baby products are natural, made with Biodynamic and organic ingredients for your health and well being. Their products are made without pesticides or chemicals. They have been at this for over 90 years, so they know a thing or two about natural beauty and taking care of the world we live in.

Earth Day Sale on Personal Care Products

earth-dayEarth Day is April 22 and to celebrate, Village Green Apothecary is having a sale on personal care products through April 30, offering 25% off on brands like Dr. Hauschka, Logona, MyChelle, Skincando and Aubrey Organics, companies that strive to make the cleanest and most effective products.

And – now is the best time to arm yourself and your loved ones with sunscreen. One of the companies we love is Goddess Garden. They carry a variety of sunscreens that offer effective protection from the sun without sacrificing their commitment to the environment and to you. They believe that sunscreen should be a natural solution to a natural problem and this why they use minerals, like zinc and titanium, instead of chemicals, to protect you from the sun. Their sunscreen is organic and made without chemicals or synthetic ingredients. It is also non-GMO, 100% biodegradable and 100% reef safe, and therefore not only protects you, but also the world around you.

Aside from using personal care products from companies that care about our world, here are some other ways you can be green on Earth Day… and everyday! Continue reading “Earth Day Sale on Personal Care Products”
