EWG Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen 2019

fruits vegetablesThe Environmental Working Group (EWG) has released their list for the dirtiest produce on the market. And by dirtiest, they are referring to fruits and vegetables that have the most pesticide residue, also known as the Dirty Dozen™. According to EWG’s analysis of test data from the Department of Agriculture, nearly 70% of produce sold in the United States comes with pesticide residue. Benefits of the Organic Acids Test (OAT)

organic acids test e1554137190725It can be difficult to determine root causes for complex medical conditions such as autism, ADHD, depression, behavioral disorders, gastrointestinal symptoms, inflammation, chronic fatigue, headaches, sleep disturbances, skin conditions, and multiple chemical sensitivities. Functional lab testing can be a very helpful tool in uncovering system imbalances that are driving various health conditions.

For both adults and children experiencing complex or chronic health concerns, one very comprehensive lab test that I highly recommend is the Organic Acids Test (OAT). This noninvasive urine test provides important insights into the body’s cellular metabolic pathways. By measuring over 70 urinary organic acid by-products, we can get a good read on one’s vitamin and mineral status, neurotransmitter health, mitochondrial energy production, Continue reading “Benefits of the Organic Acids Test (OAT)”

The problem with that is that fats are important and without them, skin issues, vision and eye problems, fatty tumors, bruising, and many other problems occur.

The gallbladder plays a key role in digestion of fats. Continue reading “Explaining Bile Salts”
