Plant-Based Diets Shown to Fight Hypertension in Black People

fight-hypertensionBlack people had a nearly twofold higher mortality rate than their white peers for hypertension-related heart disease deaths in 2018, according to a new study in the journal Hypertension.

New Study: Cinnamon May Help Blood Sugar Levels in Prediabetes

cinnamonA study published last week in the Journal of the Endocrine Society found that taking cinnamon may have positive effects on blood sugar control in people with a condition known as prediabetes, and may even slow the progression toward type 2 diabetes.
