Use of Intravenous Vitamin C to Fight COVID-19

research labThe National Institutes of Health (NIH) just launched a new trial of a common vitamin being used in some hospitals to treat the coronavirus, COVID-19. One of the potentially deadly complications of this coronavirus is severe acute respiratory infection, or pneumonia. NIH is looking to find out if intravenous vitamin C may play a significant role in fighting it.

EWG Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen 2020

unnamedThe Environmental Working Group (EWG) has released their list for the dirtiest produce on the market. And by dirtiest, they are referring to fruits and vegetables that have the most pesticide residue, also known as the Dirty Dozen™. According to EWG’s analysis of test data from the Department of Agriculture, nearly 70% of produce sold in the United States comes with pesticide residue. Consuming foods that contain pesticides has been linked to a myriad of health issues, including cancer and fertility issues.
