Although the holidays were busy, not having to hustle kids from school to sports and activities made meal making a lot easier. Now that we are at a rink or pitch or dance studio most nights, meals have to be simple and healthy and fast.

I am big fan of sheet pan dinners and I have shared one of my main go-tos before. They are quick and can be adapted to whatever you have on hand. low blood sugarOur overall well being is largely governed by blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) may occur if a person is not able to manage the amount of insulin they require based on their food intake, or it may be a sign of prediabetes. Hypoglycemia may also temporarily affect people that do not have any form of diabetes, referred to as non-diabetic hypoglycemia.

Vegan Diet Tops Keto in U.S. News & World Report Diet Ranking

A vegan diet ranked No. 2 for both weight loss and diabetes and No. 4 for heart health in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of 35 diets. But research shows that a vegan diet should have actually ranked No. 1.

People who eat a vegan diet are at lower risk for cancer, heart disease and hypertension than those who follow other dietary patterns, according to a study funded by the National Institutes of Health/ National Cancer Institute.
