In the summer we try to head to our cottage every weekend to unwind and relax from the hectic week. Although, beautiful and serene, it is also a bit remote. With the nearest pharmacy, hospital or urgent care over 1 1/2 hours away, we learned early on when our first child was born how important it is to have on hand a first aid kit for traveling that includes items you may need in case of emergencies. Having these things even when you are close to medical care is still a good idea!
