In an effort to decrease the consumption of soft drinks and other such sugary drinks, a proposed soda tax is in the works. The idea is that these types of empty calorie beverages provide nothing beneficial health-wise and can lead to obesity, diabetes and heart disease, all huge problems in the United States. So do you think that paying more for a soft drink will curb people’s love for those fizzy, sweet beverages? Will people start switching to water and fruit juices instead?
