Are you a soda drinker? Well, maybe you should think again…
Coca Cola and Pepsi use a chemical called 4-methylimidazole in their colas to give them their brown color. 4-methylimidazole is a known carcinogen and California law mandates that a cancer warning label be applied to any product that contains this chemical at certain levels.
Both soda companies have recently changed their ingredients to avoid the warning label in California and plan to do the same for the rest of the country… eventually.
