Vitamins, Minerals and Your Child’s HealthEvery day I send my kids to school with strawberries, carrots, blueberries, cukes and carrots… and many days they come right back. Even trying my best, my kids won’t always eat what I wish they would, so this is when I turn to supplements. I realize that nothing can replace the quality, variety and even the availability of nutrients found in food, and in no way are supplements a replacement for a proper meal. But I also don’t want to my children to be deficient in important nutrients.

Event: Free Class on Concussions & Traumatic Brain Injuries – May 11

brains-collideA traumatic brain injury (TBI) usually results from a violent blow or jolt to the head or body. It can also be be caused by an object penetrating the skull. Concussions are a type of TBI and are on the rise, especially in children. TBIs affect how your brain works and, left untreated, can result in brain damage and even death.

If you have had a concussion or know of someone who has, and if you live in or near the DC Metro area, please come to this free talk and blunt discussion about brain injuries by thought leader, Dr. Michael Lewis.

Not content to accept the medical dogma that only time can heal the brain after an injury, Dr. Lewis, a retired Army physician now in private practice, has sought answers on how to help people recover from a concussion or brain injury when the medical system fails.
