Natural Support for Candida

Spread the love

Candidiasis (yeast overgrowth) can trigger a variety of symptoms. Some of the ways in which it can manifest are: vaginitis, thrush, constipation, diarrhea, rectal itching, PMS, depression, fatigue, toenail/fingernail discoloration, and joint pain. It is important to note that candida albicans is always present in the digestive tract and genital tract, however it only becomes a problem when the body’s other beneficial bacteria do not balance its presence or the immune system losses the ability to control its growth. Food allergies, a weakened immune system, taking antibiotics, immuno-suppressive drugs, oral contraceptives, and eating a diet high in refined sugars, can all trigger a candida infection.

Immune Support

Taking a comprehensive immune enhancing formula can help to support the body’s natural defenses needed to fight a candida infection. Pathway IMMUNE SYSTEM SUPPORT contains herbs such as goldenseal, garlic, echinacea, and astragalus as well as the medicinal mushrooms maitake TD fraction, shitake, and reishi. These herbs and mushrooms have a long history of use supporting the immune system. Vitamins A, C, B-6, and B-12, folic acid, and pantothenic acid are part of this formula for their role in supporting a healthy immune system. Also included is the trademarked ingredient OptiZincTM which boosts immune function as well as promotes muscular, skeletal, and connective tissue health.

Digestive Enzymes

Sufficient enzyme quantities are necessary for the digestion and absorption of food. The beneficial bacteria in our intestinal system live on specific by-products of digestion. Incomplete digestion of proteins creates different by-products that cannot be used by the good bacteria. This allows the “bad” organisms like candida to gain a foothold in the system. Chronic gastrointestinal candida issues indicate a need for more digestive enzymes to ensure complete digestion of foods. Pathway DIGASE provides a full complement of enzymes. To aid digestion, protease, amylase, lipase, cellulase, lactase, and glucoamylase, are complemented by gentian root, caraway seed, and ginger root. This unique and exclusive product is specially formulated to provide as much as 80% of the digestive elements needed to digest the typical meal.

Garlic is a great herb for detoxifying the body and protecting against fungal infections. The sulfur compounds in garlic give it strong anti-candida potency. The premium quality Chinese garlic cloves used in Pathway GARLIC TABS are naturally grown, hand peeled, and processed to preserve the allicin, the key component responsible for garlic’s health benefits. An enteric coating is applied to each tablet in order to prevent odor. Each tablet provides a minimum of 6,000 mcg of total allicin, which is equivalent to 1,500 mg of fresh garlic.

Oregano Oil

Oregano Oil is known for its strong anti-microbial activity, specifically against candida. Pathway OREGANO OIL is standardized to 70% carvacrol and contains a full spectrum of the naturally occurring compounds found in oregano. Pathway OREGANO OIL contains wild Mediterranean oregano oil from the origanum vulgare species in a base of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil.
