Discount Prices for Micronutrient & Cardiovascular Testing – Limited Time!

Spread the love

Two of SpectraCell’s most popular tests, their micronutrient test and their comprehensive cardiovascular test, are now available through Village Green at special rates for a limited time. If you have health insurance, the micronutrient test will be $88 (originally $170) and the cardiovascular test will be $30 (originally $80). Because both of these tests require a blood draw, we will be providing a phlebotomist onsite, free of charge, on Fridays from 10-1 pm (with 24-hour notice – see below). If you are interested in this testing but do not live locally in our area, we can ship the test kits to you and provide you with blood draw sites.

If you aren’t familiar with these unique tests, here is a brief overview.

Micronutrient Test – Nutrient status is a vital foundation of health. Each micronutrient plays an important role in promoting optimal cell function. When some cells do not function at their best, the foundation of our health is compromised, setting the stage for the development of disease. Identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies is an important step in the long-term maintenance of optimal health.

Since we are all biochemically unique, nutrient deficiencies will vary from patient to patient and do not necessarily correlate directly with nutrient intake, even among those with similar health conditions. Many factors beyond diet determine whether nutrient function is adequate. These include biochemical individuality, genetic predisposition, absorption and metabolism, age, disease conditions and medications. Scientific evidence confirms that deficiencies are associated with disease processes and the overall condition of your health. Deficiencies suppress the function of the immune system and contribute to degenerative processes. Vitamin, mineral and antioxidant deficiencies have been shown to suppress immune function and contribute to chronic degenerative processes such as arthritis, cancer, Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Your test results will include nutrient suggestions (dosages) based on your specific deficiencies. You will receive easy-to-understand supplement information that explains the role of each nutrient found deficient, deficiency symptoms, how to obtain that nutrient in food, and toxicity and RDI standards. If desired, we can create a custom nutrient formula based on your results.

Comprehensive Cardiovascular Test – Cholesterol testing has historically been used as the standard indicator for cardiovascular disease classified as HDL (good) or LDL (bad). However, it is actually the lipoprotein particles that carry the cholesterol throughout the body, not necessarily the cholesterol within them, that are responsible for key steps in plaque production and the resulting development of cardiovascular disease. SpectraCell offers advanced cholesterol testing technology which accurately measures both the density and number of lipoprotein particles. This comprehensive test also measures triglycerides, homocysteine levels, C-reactive protein, as well as insulin.

Contact Margo Gladding, CNS, LDN 301-530-0800 x1025 or email margo@myvillagegreen.com for further information regarding these tests and/or to make your appointment for a blood draw. Please note that that the cardiovascular test does require you to fast.
