Two is better than one, especially when it comes to certain foods and their health benefits. Many foods contain nutrients that work synergistically. Researchers have discovered that ellagic acid enhances quercetin’s cancer cell killing power. Ellagic acid is a phytochemical, or plant chemical, found in raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, walnuts, pecans, and pomegranates.
One way you can get the benefits of this cancer protective duo is with diet. Try adding sliced apples and pomegrante seeds to a green salad, or baking them into a muffin.
